To those children Association gives financial
and other support so they can continue their education
after finishing elementary school. Association works
on multiethnic and multi religious basis; therefore
activities are directed to children of all national
and religious groups that exist in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Our goal is to help children, who lost one or both parents,
or became invalids during the war, to prepare themselves
for the future through education. Through given donation
we encourage children to achieve good results at school
and at faculty, since we suspend scholarship in a case
of failure.
Scholarships are given to children who
lost one or both parents during the war, as well as
to invalid and talented children. Scholarships for high
school students cover children age from 14 to 18, and
scholarships for college students cover youth age from
18 to 27. Among these children priority is given to
those who live in more poor families, who achieve better
results at school/faculty or have larger rate of invalidity
and show greater talent. Information about children
are received from governmental institutions that are
authored by law to collect them (Cantonal ministries
for social welfare), from high schools and faculties
and by personal applications for scholarships. Each
application should contain: filled form, two photos,
confirmation of death (of father or mother), confirmation
that they are regular high school or college student,
confirmation on monthly wage of parent/guardian (salary/pension).
Scholarships are given every second Saturday
in month, for the previous month. Every scholarship
holder confirms with his signature receiving of the
scholarship. Parent or guardian can take scholarship
for children under 18. Signed lists are stored in archive
of the Association, and they are presented to donor
on his request.
